The Fund and the Carpenters Training Institute pledge that the training programs will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older. The Fund and the Carpenters Training Institute will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required by the rules of the each state’s apprenticeship or registration agency and in accordance with Title 29, part 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
The goal of the Fund is to have a representative number of qualified women, minorities, individuals of different ethnicities, and individuals with disabilities applicants seeking entry to training programs administered by the Fund as determined by the workforce population percentage of minorities within the jurisdiction of the Fund. To strengthen its endeavors, the Fund will conduct an annual utilization review in accordance with 29 C.F.R. § 30 as a part of its effectiveness analysis See (Section V).
